Policies
Thank you for placing your trust in us. We offer state of the art opportunities to sell your restaurant on a worldwide basis. We listen to your needs and wants, and discuss a marketing strategy to help you sell your business. We will need some help from you too. We will ask for information to be sent to us for review, as well as ask for an extensive questionnaire to be completed by the owners. Once we receive the information, we will create an informational brochure branded with your logo or if desired, a confidential brochure.
FAQ
Do you ask for a NDA from potential buyers?
If we market it through our platform and are the ones fielding calls and email interests, then yes we do. Any inquiry will be asked to sign an NDA. We are always happy to provide it to our sellers.
How do you know they can afford the purchase?
We ask all potential buyers for a proof of funds. They are required to send the proof to us along with the non disclosure agreement before any information is disclosed to them.
How long will it take to sell our business?
Based on the current environment, there are still plenty of buyers out there. As for the timeline, each business is different but you have to prepare for at least six to twelve months.
What are your fees to marketing and then selling our business?
We do have a small fee that we will discuss with you during our discovery call. There is also a percentage fee to be paid when the business is sold.
Can we sell our business if it's closed?
If your business is not generating any sales, it clearly is not profitable. The recommendation is to keep your business open and operating.
Do I have to tell my landlord that I am thinking of selling?
Your landlord will need to know so it is imperative to keep them in the loop. Based on your lease, the landlord may have to do a financial review of any new buyer. They will also need to approve any incoming buyer so they can assign the lease to the new owner.
Do you sell franchises?
Yes, but please know that you will need to review your contract with your franchisor and understand their guidelines if you were to sell the business. Because of some of the franchise training costs, and transfer costs, franchises may take longer to sell than non-franchised restaurants.
What if the business is not profitable?
If a business is not profitable, it's still valuable. It may not be worth as much, but there is value to it.
